

Gene Lorenz Managing Director
Gene Lorenz co-founded Tasman in September 2008 following the management buy-out of the Australasian private equity assets owned by Nikko Principal Investments Australia.
Previously, Gene spent eight years at DB Capital Partners, the private equity division of Deutsche Bank. During his time at DB Capital Partners, Gene co-led the Loscam, Tempo transactions and led deals including Pacific Apparel Solutions, CEA Technology and Australian Financial Investments Group (t/a Wizard).
Gene joined Deutsche Asset Management in 1995 as a quantitative analyst in strategy and risk management and moved to the DB Capital Partners team in 1998.
Prior to 1995, Gene spent six years at State Street Australia as a manager in the performance and analytics division, with a business development responsibility in Victoria and New Zealand.
Gene graduated from the University of Technology with a degree in business. He has a master of applied finance from Macquarie University, an MBA from University of Technology and is a certified accountant.
